Pichilemu

Pichilemu is a surf town on the Chilean coast about two hours south of Santiago. It's most famous for the Punta de Lobos break. We headed there to hang out by the beach for a few weeks and take Spanish classes at the Pichilemu Language School. We stayed at the Cabanas Buena Vista, which we LOVED! Las Trancas

If you head east from Chillan an hour up into the mountains, Las Trancas is the valley at the end of the road right before the ski area Termas de Chillan. The ski area has the longest run in South America, Tres Marias, spanning 19 km. The lifts are slow but they go up pretty high and with the wide open landscape and very few trees you have access to a lot of terrain from the top.
